The Silencer System top ensures smooth, easy air flow through the outdoor unit to minimize sound typically associated with turbulent air. This exclusive top design also allows us to use a low-speed fan motor with large diameter fan blades which add to the quiet, efficient performance of the 38TXA. The compressor vibration isolator plate is made of a special, vibration-absorbing material surrounded by two metal plates. Mounted underneath the compressor, this plate captures vibrational noise from the compressor. The sound hood further reduces sound by blanketing the compressor with sound-absorbing materials. All of these design elements work together to reduce the sound caused by unit vibrations due to air turbulence and compressor vibration.
