This new top design allows us to utilize the low-speed fan motor with large-diameter fan blades, which is quieter and more energy efficient than a high-speed model. The compressor vibration isolator plate is made of a special, vibration absorbing material surrounded by two metal plates. It's mounted underneath the compressor and absorbs vibrational noise created through compressor operation. The sound hood is designed of sound-absorbing materials which blanket the compressor to add a final touch to the noise reduction system.
