allows you to enjoy enhanced indoor weather all winter
long with heating temperatures that are 15-20 degrees
higher than those delivered by a standard heat pump
system. During the heating season, many heat pump
systems provide an uncomfortable blast of cold air when
the blower kicks on. Comfort Heat ensures air is warmed
before your fan turns on. The cooler air in the ductwork
is then replaced with the heated air, delivering warm,
comfortable air to your home at lower speeds to

The 40FK fan coil can be installed with Carrier's
patented ThermidistatTM
Control for superior humidity control during the cooling
season. The Comfort Heat Pump System can remove up
to thirty times more moisture, up to half gallon more
per hour, from your home during the cooling season than
other heat pump or air conditioning systems, allowing
you to set your thermostat at a higher temperature while
maintaining the same level of cool comfort.
For truly remarkable comfort all year long, create
an IdealHumidity System with the addition of a
humidifier, and a Carrier air conditioner or heat pump.
The Carrier IdealHumidity System works all day and all
night to control both temperature AND humidity for the
ultimate in comfort. Other systems rely on heating or
cooling to control humidity. IdealHumidity from Carrier
is the ONLY system that controls humidity even when the
